Julie Iannacone and Tess Prendergast co-presented a program at the American Library Association Annual Conference on Sunday June 25th 2017, along with Kendra Jones and Rachel Payne.  Julie shared some of the ways we use research to create responsive approaches to meeting the needs of adults raising and caring for young children in our community. Tess shared some of the work of the Children’s Services team who offer workshops to early childhood educators.

About a year ago we presented a similar program called Librarian as Early Literacy Coach at the British Columbia Library Conference on May 13, 2016.

This blog contains workshop plans and other resources for children’s library services staff to use in their own work supporting early literacy. Please contact either of us for more information about our work.
